Photobook
About the book
A story about a grieving process. That's what "Het gesprek" is about. The photo story is loosely inspired by the play La voix humaine by Jean Cocteau. Research was conducted into what art can mean during a grieving process. The result is a book with poetic images that are recognizable to everyone and can therefore help with the grieving process. It is important that it becomes a book that fits well in the hand and is used often.

Concept
Because there is a link with the scenario of La voix humaine, the layout of the book was also looked in that direction. The story is fictional. A script is written for a play or film. The shape of the book will also be made into a kind of script.
Design
The Courier font is used for a script. Nothing else is added. No images, just a title on the cover. It's a workbook, something that is actually used. The same goes for The Conversation. Courier was used for all texts. Only the title appears on the cover, with one small detail: the chair from the room.
For the size of the book we choose a rather small photo book. A book that fits well in the hand just like a reading book and can be used a lot. Therefore, the work is bound with yarn to ensure durability.
The book is divided into three chapters. This is also a reference to Cocteau's book. Between the chapters you will find a drawing of the room, each with a small change.
